Group Therapy

What is it?

What are the benefits?

What options are available?

Group Therapy is a session where a small number of children come together with an Allied Health Clinician, typically an OT, to learn and practise new skills together in a safe, supportive environment. Our experienced Clinicians guide the group through evidence-based activities, games and discussions that build confidence, connection and everyday life skills.

Benefits of Group Therapy:

  • Builds confidence through child-led exploration and play
  • Supports social and communication skills in a neutral, peer-based setting
  • Strengthens emotional regulation through guided strategies
  • Encourages independence, problem-solving and trying new things
  • Creates a safe, supportive environment with both peer connection and therapist guidance

Holiday Group Information Flyers 2025

NDIS Funded Groups

We are looking for Expressions of Interest to create Groups for NDIS participants, to run during School Term time, one-hour sessions per fortnight, per group, for children ages 3 to 12 and will be created depending on interest and the number of children interested per age group.

In 2025, we ran groups around building emotional literacy, sensory systems and social skills. We are not limited to these; if there’s a specific area you’d like your child to get more help in, or have any other suggestions, we would be more than happy to consider them.

To submit your Expression of Interest for any of the Private School Holiday Groups or the potential NDIS Groups, please email us using the link below and include the following information:

Name

Age

Diagnoses

Current OT goals

Behaviour support needs

Will a parent/carer be in attendance for the duration of the session?

Which group are you interested in? (or a suggestion as to a preferred group idea)

Keep up to date with all our latest news and see what we are up to when visiting the communities we service.
