What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy assists people with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities to regain their ability to perform everyday activities. It is a form of rehabilitation that assists people to overcome limitations and impairments affecting their daily living and promote functional independence, from early childhood through to the effects of ageing.

It may include assessments, prescribing equipment or devices and therapy interventions such as providing strategies and teaching new or other ways of doing things.

Working With You

At Well Balanced Care, our Occupational Therapists work one-on-one with participants. We assess people with all conditions and have experienced clinicians available to work with people of all ages – adults, children and adolescents.

Well Balanced Care OTs work in partnership with participants to support a move from dependence towards more independence, maximising achievement of personal goals, wellbeing and quality of life.
